Hiap Joo Bakery is one of Johor’s oldest traditional bakery with making the tasty fresh multi-flavoured breads and fragment banana cakes. You need to queue earlier if you want to buy their banana cake because it will sold out at 4pm even earlier!

Until today, they still using the most traditional way to bake their breads and cakes which is baking in the same soot coated, clay brick, kiln-like oven by wood fire that rarely to see in other bakeries. 

You need queue earlier because the banana cakes can be sold out in the second!

The spongy banana cake looks so fluffy and rich of banana scent

 

The taste of banana cake is slightly charred on the outside with a mild smokey flavour and inside is moist and fragrant with the soft texture. Besides that, it is not too sweet which acceptable to everyone.
